In this role, you will be the bridge between complex data science and operational reality. You will design and deploy cloud-native microservices, automate sophisticated ETL pipelines using NiFi and Python, and optimize the connectivity between high-performance on-prem compute clusters and the cloud. Your work will directly impact the speed and accuracy of national security insights, providing you the platform to use cutting-edge tech—from Generative AI model fine-tuning to Terraform-driven infrastructure—in an environment where precision is the only standard.
Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (Required).
Cloud Architecture: Extensive experience with AWS/Azure services, including EC2, S3, RDS, and optimizing connectivity between cloud and on-prem high-performance compute environments.
Development & Languages: Professional proficiency in Python, Java, SQL, and PL/SQL. Front-end experience with JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, and Flask.
Data Engineering: Expert-level management of SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), including schema design, mapping, and data discovery.
Automation & ETL: Proven success automating NiFi workflows and writing custom OS-level scripts (Bash/Anaconda) for complex ETL operations.
DevOps & Infrastructure: Mastery of Docker containerization, Terraform for IaC, and building robust CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence).
Design & Standards: Application of user-centered design principles, web usability standards, and comprehensive architectural documentation.
Advanced Analytics: Experience supporting data scientists with fine-tuning/transfer learning for classification, prediction, and Generative AI models.
Visualization: Proficiency in connecting cloud-based data sources to Tableau for executive-level visualizations.
Mission Expertise: Prior experience within a Sponsor analytic mission area and familiarity with the internal data management lifecycle.
High-Performance Computing: Experience with distributed computation and creating parallel processing solutions.
Academic Background: Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
